Born in Calgary and grew up in Drumheller, Alberta, Cheryl's passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, brings her unique artistic vision to life through her stunning handcrafted ceramic and captivating copper jewelry designs.
At the age of 65, she continues to pursue all her artistic endeavors on her picturesque acreage, drawing inspiration from her surroundings, the country lifestyle, and her previous career as a professional equestrian.
Cheryl describes making ceramics as her saving grace. Prior to her passion for pottery, Cheryl dedicated her life to her love for horses. From a young age, she was drawn to these magnificent creatures and found various ways to stay connected to them. Cheryl spent a lifetime riding, training, and breeding horses, but eventually, the physical demands of her favorite activity became overwhelming.
Just as one door closed, another one opened for Cheryl. She found solace and a new creative outlet in the world of ceramics. This art form allowed her to channel her passion and express herself in a different way. Through the process of creating pottery, Cheryl discovered a sense of fulfillment and purpose that she had been longing for.
